We spent a quiet, peaceful and thoroughly enjoyable weekend at the lovely Beachwalk in May, 2011. After flying 25+ hours from California, we were exhausted so the comfortable bed and attractive room was just what we needed to recover. The location was perfect for us to walk to dinner, a seaside lunch and just generally explore the immediate area. For breakfast, choices are many and all are delicious. You can even have your eggs cooked to order, which is rare for even a B & B these days. Lea and Cliff really love what they do and it shows in all aspects. We would love to come back for a longer stay, and would not hesitate to recommend Beachwalk as the perfect place to stay when visiting P.E.

We are now home after a fabulous holiday in South Africa, which started with our stay at Beachwalk B & B. We had a very friendly greeting on arrival by Marie. My husband is disabled and Cliff & Leanne looked after us so well, nothing was too much trouble. We will always remember our "chats" with Cliff at breakfast! Beachwalk is situated within walking distance of the Boardwalk with a great choice of restaurants of which our favourite was Squires. Our only regret was that 4 nights was not enough!

Cliff & Leanne & their staff made Beachwalk B&B one of our favourite accommodations on our 3 week trip to South Africa. We have just returned back to the States and we already miss Franky! They make you feel comfortable and welcomed and safe (also being able to walk to the boardwalk for dinner doesn't hurt either). My boyfriend Dave loved his morning chats with Cliff about rugby vs. soccer =) and being away from our dachshund Milton, I throughly enjoyed having Franky around during breakfast.

Leanne even took the time out to map out directions (i believe Cliff referred to this as "the girls map to Port Elizabeth") for us to her favourite coffee spot and a mall. (Since it was raining) and on your 1st - 2nd day in another country it felt so comforting when she offered for us to call if we got lost. Even though we only got to stay 2 days, the next time we're back in Nelson Mandela Bay/Port Elizabeth, we know exactly where we're going to stay.

What a lovely find! Beachwalk B&B is a four star, privately run B&B. All rooms are separate to the main house and all overlook a lovely pool and braai area with separate patio areas and entrances to rooms. The rooms and quite spacious for a B&B. The beds are extremely comfortable. There is DSTV (satellite), DVD, powerful shower, hair dryer, safe and a delicious breakfast in the morning.

The B&B has private parking secured by an electric gate. You can see the sea from the front of the house/car park. It is in walking distance to the beach and Boardwalk casino and it is safe to do so as long as it's before 10.00 pm - in fact, the receptionist laughed at me when I asked if it was safe. We felt very safe there, even when walking home at dusk.

The staff are the friendliest we met - the receptionist is so helpful.

I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone staying in PE.

“Klabauterman” - Munchen

I have 2 crazy Iron Man Sons who were competing in the South African nationals in April. We all stayed at Beach Walk B&B which is located very conveniently next to the Board Walk centre with lots of restaurants. And for Iron Man it was even more perfect as to it was 2 blocks from the start . Beach Walk is really well run with rooms that are well appointed, a very tranquil central courtyard with small plunge pool, excellent breakfasts, really pleasant staff and just generally a nice vibe. Thank you to Cliff and Leanne and your staff. We'll be back next year if you will have us. Liz Lancaster – Johannesburg.

We had a great time in Port Elizabeth and thanks to Lea and Clifford it was a week we will never forget. Very nice rooms, excellent breakfast and all trips, taxis and the rental car booked for us. This way we could really relax. Thanks again, Lea, for giving us half of the content of your kitchen cupboard for our barbecue with our own catch of the day We truly enjoyed our stay at your B&B.

Uta and Ian from London

P.S.: Could you please send us your recipe for the milk tart?
